A Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is to help you be identified by the Government as a citizen of Pakistan. For persons with disabilities, they need a Special CNIC which not only helps the Government of Pakistan recognize them but also provides them with an array of accommodations and benefits.
However, most persons with disabilities are unaware of the existence, process and benefits of an SCNIC. The process of acquiring an SCNIC also happens to be a long and laborious task taking up to 4-5 visits with governmental departments and a total time of 12 weeks.
NOWPDP gathers all relevant governmental departments such as NADRA, Department of Health, DEPD, and SPDPA - Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under one roof. This is to ensure the ease and accessibility of persons with disabilities by minimizing their visits across the city and lessening to the total time from 12 weeks to just one day.
